Hang Su Zhou

Today we're traveling from HangZhou to SuZhou. ((:

DSC04808
Bought as many Wang LeeHom's mineral water bottles as I can while I was there!!!

DSC04804
Breakfast @ the hotel.

DSC04811
Named Hong Lou.

DSC04863
Start the engines babe! We're heading west.

DSC04824
West Lake.

DSC04827
Why can't we grow flowers like that in our country?

DSC04826
Dad pointed out how they maintain the trees from falling down. See the long, slanted pole?

Don't know if these are interesting, but here you go -- fish and birds. =/

DSC04816
DSC04821
Plenty of em'.

DSC04828
This is a very, Very, VERY annoying lady making noise pollution everywhere around the park. That little tube she's blowing creates sounds of a chirping bird.

Now we're going to cruise the West Lake.

DSC04845
Our nicely carved wooden boat.

DSC04840
Sigh~ I miss my brother. He's studying medic @ Sarawak now... )'=

DSC04844
Cin: Hey Eu, look! There's a TV all along, & no one even noticed it.
Eu : Where? Oh, ya loh.

DSC04829
3 minutes later.

Eu : HEY! That's NOT a TV; that's a PICTURE!!
Cin: REALLY?? Oh. Oh... yea, it's not. It's not moving is it!? @@

Both: HAHAHAHA....

Our laughter did not stop there. The laughter between us is freakking contagious. Just put us together, and the monent any one of us starts laughing, we both become hysterical and we could laugh about nothing at all. It's like we're high on shrooms, weed, or drugs.

This boat got us into this unbelievably boring cruising plan, and this man:

DSC04837
Which happened to be our temporary tour guide, has been talking for ages. But no one really paid attention to him.

He recited the love tale that happened between this bridge,
DSC04836

And this bridge.
DSC04838

I don't know why but that's when Eu and I burst out laughing like nuts! It is really contagious and very healthy. Well you know what they say - Laughter is the BEST Medicine!!!

DSC04847
Bye, boat. You're so memorable. =P

Next up is a famous tea plantation place for China's, or more specifically HangZhou's Yin Long Cha.

DSC04860
It's not Cameron Highlands.

DSC04849
These are the woks used to fry the tea leaves.

DSC04850
These leaves are fried using this man's hands. No wonder his hands looked so red and burnt. Poor hands, man.

DSC04856
Different grades, different quality, vast difference when it comes to price.

DSC04851
We were brought into a room to have a crisp taste of this fragrant tea.

DSC04852
There are three steps to drink Yin Long Cha. Pour in the water - hot OR cold. If you pour in cold water, just wait for 30 minutes before drinking it.

DSC04853
Pour only this little of hot water. Indulge in the fragrance first.

DSC04854
Then fill in the other third quarter of water, and now you can enjoy your cuppa tea!

DSC04857
Tea Candy!

Lunch was an absolutely sensational one @ Lou Wai Lou.

DSC04887
My family.

DSC04882
The wall deco looked so pretty and detailed at the same time, I couldn't help not take a picture.

DSC04886
Dad was laughing out loud at this; couldn't tell why! LOL

DSC04878
While waiting for food.

DSC04869
DSC04872
Very famous, very delicious, finger lickin' good paper wrapped chicken.

DSC04871
Pai Gu. *Slurrrpppssss~*

DSC04875
Ikan masak Cuka. One of their most famous dishes here.

DSC04873
You'll see a LOT of this (shrimps). Very very famous and favourable.

DSC04877
The texture of these leaves are Damn special. It's one of it's kind and I swear, my tongue has never felt that way before.

DSC04874
The ultimate applauded dish is none other than Tong Po Rou.

DSC04881
He is not my grandpa, we just happened to wear a hat. XD

After lunch, we slept for a while and woke up in SuZhou.

Destinations: Wang Shi Yuan, and Guang Qian Street.

Wang Shi Yuan is a classic example of how a rich SuZhou man house looks like.

DSC04890
We had to walk along this narrow street to reach the old style mansion. You'd better be careful because they actually display fragile, easily breakable items in front and if you break them, these owners would lie and say it's antique thus charge you a whole shit load of money.

DSC04893
The entrance. This is the lucky tree.

DSC04900
OMG I felt like a princess. This lovely zen-like park belongs to the rich man's daughter. Can you find the doorway to her bedroom?

DSC04897
I'm sure you can't. It is the rocks that lead you to her room upstairs. Just like Rapunzel.

DSC04904
Apparently, according to the tour guide, this is the 'picture perfect' spot.

DSC04906
Brother and me.

DSC04907
Dad and ama.

Here's a video of our funny tour guide singing a Sonata:

Did you like it? HAHAHA!!!

DSC04915
Back to the hotel room...

DSC04916
There's a glass wall between the toilet and the bathroom, and I wonder what difference that makes. It's not like you'd like to poo poo when your hubby is showering! Geeezzz~

DSC04917
Walked along Guang Qian Street to the restaurant.

DSC04928
Another absolutely sensational meal awaiting.

DSC04919
DSC04924
DSC04920
It's like a meal for the King!

DSC04925
Squirrel Fish with cherries as its eyes. @@

DSC04921
See I told ya you'd see a LOT of these. Too famous to begin with I reckon.

DSC04926
Dates and Pine nuts delicacy --- I like this one. Never tasted anything like this before.

Guang Qian street is my most favourable place to shop actually. Not Shanghai. However, since it was getting late and ama wasn't feeling very well, I didn't manage to buy anything for myself .

However, can you believe that -- Original CDs there are SO bloody CHEAP compared to ori Cds here in Malaysia! How come?!?!?!

DSC04939
That's so unfair. My Wang LeeHom CD! I could've bought his WHOLE collection there for the price of one pathetic piece in this country. FML, what is cheap here. Barangan Buatan Malaysia konon?

Even ZARA that's "Made in Malaysia" is NOT cheap okay~ Hello???
