Today, I can unashamedly say that I am glad and proud of myself to be able to write and say what I think is TRUE about Me, and REAL outside this World.

You find it ultimately pleasant to read Dawn's blog -because it mainly reflects only the beautiful mirrors the society is holding.
You might find yourself disturbed when you read Xia Xue's blog -because it is all about photoshop, pink, and cursing. But you DO like it because now there is a place for you to channel your anger from work, relationship problems, whatever lah your shit problems, into her comment box. Calling her "rude", "shallow", bla bla bla, AS IF you never cursed before.
You did. You do. But you don't show it on the web. Does that make you NOT rude?
Everyone has two sides. It's only a matter of CHOICE whether you want to show the OTHER side of yourself; so don't judge a person just because you CHOOSE to play it safe and slave for the ads.
When a blog belongs to YOU, it's YOUR right to write the material you want, and the readers' fate to accept what THEY themselves have CHOSE to read.
Don't ever call a blogger shallow, because it makes YOU one -to read a shallow person's blog, and still bother commenting as if your are not shallow too.
Don't ever call anyone shallow, because you don't have to be a genius to be a famous blogger like Kenny Sia.
Face it. Everyone has feelings, their moments. Different moods, at different times, when they blog. Anger and happiness both fades.
Don't try to start pretending you have none of the above; going around calling people FAKE, because YOU are actually the FAKE one.

I joined a stupid competition for solely experience. Some people wanted the car. Some just wanna get out. While some Muslims wanted to be a universal model showing skin. Very honestly, I never thought I would win.

Do you think this show is created for your entertainment, or for the money? If they chose to make this solely a voting competition to earn money, the rules to win are not to be played by US girls, but the public.

From THREE internal sources, almost 90% of 11 girls' votes came from their OWN family and friends.
Money is of coz in the game. And a game, is a Gamble. Let me repeat this:

If you were in my shoes, do you think I know NOT that the camera was rolling and the recorder recording? You think that I do NOT know that both recordings are gonna go online?? Why in the world would I wanna SHOW the world I am mean??? Even if I am, I would fake it like I'm Hanis the Manis.
But the bold truth my dear, Manis-manis would NOT have appeared in Top 12. Think about it closely.
With all the producers and girls playing petty once 3 girls from my room I was close with left, I didn't have any bloody time to think about HOW to fake it as you like it. Things were different. Things were changing. You should try to be me.

How was the portraying done? Hah! I have truck loads of stories. And some things happened in between me and the producers. I shall not elaborate here.
I had to play the game TOO. For my justice, and everyone who supported me 's justice.
But I can tell you. The really kesian one is none other than Ringo.
I (think) she has been totally kept till she couldn't be "used" anymore, then got kicked out. Why? Because this is an ONLINE reality show, and Ringo is a ......?
Ringo, like Hanis, was "protected" and portrayed as the ones "Never in the bottom." Her 90% votes might not have been sufficient somewhere throughout the show already, but they preserved her in the "safe zone", thus resulting in the injustice her f&f faced.
See; we have Top SIX for two WEEKS!! Need me say more?
Why don't you T.H.I.N.K la, with your common sense instead.
I'm sure some of you here had voted for Ringo, and I'm sorry to say they had all gone to waste from the very start, because poor Ringo was only a bait.

Producer: Do you think Ringo deserves to stay?
Cindy: Of course! I think Ringo deserves to stay.

friends & I have been following closely MDG from beginning to the end. But Cindy, we like the drama you created, it would very boring without character like you, although you are noisy, but it is good for the show and good for your mates, so that they can be angels. All Manis manis, diam-diam macam handicapped, will probably made the show die down. Reality show, American idol etc pun ada character like Cindy lah, yang itu lah bagus!

ReplyDeleteI started to watch MDG after reading some random blogger's comment on hating u & how u behaved in Episode 7, part 3.. ("Malai poh, Indu poh..") I didn't followed it real time, it was more of like watching it after the entire show has ended.. So, I didnt get to vote.. Aiseh..
From episode 7 onwards, I watched up till the end & in conclusion, I would think everybody have got a sense of bitchiness in themselves.. (Maybe not Erya, how do u spell that? Cos she's really quiet, & basically a girl with few words)
But my most disliked characters of all will be Hanis (I think she is quite subtle) & Fiqa, cos they are both bitches in combination against u.. Somehow, they are good in gathering support.. Well, not to say I really like u a lot (Cos u've got ur weaknesses as well, but well who don't have? Nobody is perfect & even when I am typing my dislikes over here, it doesnt mean that I am any better than u).. Oh yeah, not to forget the hates were towards Nadia at the later part.. & the jealousy of the rest were on u (I think they got jealous because ur family was supportive too, kept harping on ur family support & all) as u won.. (The worst was Hanis expected herself to win, what a joke!)
But well, this is a reality show which was made available for the view of public.. So, I sincere believe shows as such will know how to make it interesting to capture the attention of publics.. So that the publics will follow it faithfully.. I also do think that shows can portray 1 as goddess or even a wicked witch (Just as long as they show the goody part of 1 or to show the worst part of another 1 in the entire show), but how abt the worst part of the goody dude, or the goody part of the worst dude?
Well, I do think that those whom participated in MDG somehow wanted attentions, as this show is made public & naturally, attentions were given.. With attentions, come comments from haters, lovers, supporters & etc (Could be positive, negative or even neutral).. So, every contestants have to be ready for that.. Like somebody commented were made earlier here, there's a price to pay for being popular..
Anyway, nothing happened by chance, everything happened for a reason.. So, when our finger is pointed out, blaming the rest, three other fingers are at the same time, pointing towards ourselves.. So, many of times, its important to sit back, to look at ourselves, & our imperfections.. Look forward to change to be a better person..
Its good to be watchful over what we say, cos many of times, not everybody can interpret they same way we do as everybody is from a different background, upbringing, education & etc..
I m not directing the blames at u being wrong as ur quite pretty too.. *Blush.. How could I do that to a pretty girl? Gee, why is man always slave to beauty? When beauty is fleeting? Well, many of times, ppl only judge a book by its cover, without look at its contents.. Same goes to MDG, how much could we know u, Hanis, Fiqa, Nadia & etc when we only get to see that short 16 episodes of which the director is willing to expose? (With a lot of censorships?)
So, since MDG's over, let's take the pasts as precious experiences that u've gained from & make sure u treasure ur learning.. (I believe u do) Look forward, to watch & learn as there are more obstacles ahead, what u experienced in MDG is mild & its just the beginning.. Take care..

ReplyDeletetis shocking that the producers are such, but it's not that unexpected i guess. it's a stupid idea to put the show online and make it public voted. unlike the idol series also based on votes from the public, the main issue with that is the public is gonna be buying their records, so its essential that they like it with advice from judges. but modelling on the other hand is not so widely exposed to the public compared to singers, hence it is fundamentally vital to have input from the judges. if not then it's a popularity contest which imho is just stoopid.
having said that, i dont think hanis can do photoshoots. they all suck lor, facial expression takda, which is like 100% the essential to have on her films. she can do the catwalk but that's not all there is to modelling. she got one expression and it;s like copy and paste on to any other photo.
but but but, always try to improve yourself regardless how others are la. good luck and no more modelling?

ReplyDeletei've checked out most of the episodes of MDG. sadly everyone thinks reality shows NEED drama to be a hit. and that's where i think MDG was just brutally disappointing in so many ways!
instead of the show being motivating, inspiring, or ethical..it was downright biased, mean, and actually immatured.
it's sad watching how people gang up in the show after she said she said..how the show turns private conversations into something to let the audience judge without understanding the whole situation (or making it like an awww, so sweet the girl misses her boyfriend, kinda moment). it's sad watching how "professionals" become totally unprofessional. and audiences are given the best chance to hate, discriminate, judge and be so shallow. need i start on the editing??
like hello world. camera's not rolling 24/7. plus what we get is what's been EDITED LIKE MAD.
the thing about reality shows is that people expect to be shown REALITY. so they blindly believe what they see and hear because, that's reality right?? the only REALity about it, is that people can be so smart turning something bad into something 'good' to gain viewership, hits, being the talk of the town or i don't know. and they ruin lives.
to me mdg was a bunch of kids trying to copy antm. there is no originality whatsoever. i'm sorry to say this but it had been SO demoralizing and uninspiring. i realize that it's a MODEL SEARCH. but why do you need skinny, jimmy? did you know that most "super"models struggle to maintain their image and boneyness due to disgusting demands of fashion?? it's disgusting and i don't recall hearing a man loving women who is all bones anyway.
and what about friendship?? instead of instilling moral values, appreciating each individual for who they are or learning from each other's stength and weaknesses, this show is definitely all about COMPETITION in the most saddest ways!!
call me conservative, old school..ideallistic. but it sucks watching YOUR people from YOUR country, wanting to be so like the west..that we go all out to speak our minds on things we don't know. DAMN!

Think about it for a second. I didn't for once mentioned she was unworthy or anything like that. My problem with the post was the professionalism, not her nor you.

If she does not know by eating terrapin is illegal, then we can help share more information so that she is aware of it. Regardless a person is PHD or how highly educated, no one can possibly know everything on earth. Even genius or scientists have only 10% of understanding/knowledge on human brain. So do we expect Cindy to know everything about the rights & wrongs? We all aint perfect & ppl make lots of mistake in life. As long as we acknowledge our mistakes & learn. The way i look at it, Cindy isn't ignorant, she did feel bad for eating terrapin, then this is a beautiful side of her for admitting it & learning from it.
